Linda Benton,
CPC, CAPPM |
Linda is our claims specialist, claims tracker, and credentialing specialist. You will find Linda in our office usually in “Bull Dog” mode. If you ever have any questions about your bills or about your insurance, she is always there for you and even gives out her cell phone number.
Linda has over 20 years experience in the health care field. She has been either in billing or management or both for all of those years. She finds medical billing to be her personal quest and is on top of the ever-changing rules and regulations.
Linda and her husband Pat own their own billing business, where they spend much of their time. Their business is P & L Medical Claims, located in Herrin. |

Felisha Jones |
Felisha has been well trained by Linda and is on top of your claims. She has been working with Linda at P & L Medical Claims for 3 years. Before that she worked in medical offices in reception and also as an assistant. If she appears distracted, think nothing of it. She is just working her accounts and chasing after those claims at the insurance companies. |

Amy |
Amy is the scheduling czar. She will do the best she can to find an appointment time that is convenient for you. She will always call you the day before your appointment as a reminder and will work with your insurance company on predeterminations and precertifications for treatment. |

Michele |
Michele is one of the workerbees here at Southern Illinois Vein Center. She will see you during your initial evaluation and be there with you at the time of your procedure. She is known as the “Compression Hose Queen.” She will help fit you for your hose and give suggestions on how to put them on and keep them up. |

Bekki |
Bekki While some are squeamish about needles, Bekki is anything but! After working in the healthcare industry for 17 years, Bekki has learned a deep appreciation for patient care. She’ll be with you from your first evaluation through your post-op care. A licensed practical nurse and former medical laboratory technician, Bekki is a seasoned professional. |

Michelle Things are better when they come in twos, right? That’s why SI Vein has 2 Michelles on staff. Michelle #2—as she’s commonly referred to around here--is a member of the SI Vein nursing team, guiding patients from initial evaluations to final visits with thoughtful reassurance and sound expertise. And, patients from Kentucky will appreciate Michelle’s “Bluegrass State” roots. |

Melissa Melissa is “Queen of the Insurance Realm!” A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an insurance background, Melissa is ready to assist in getting your procedure authorized. Questions on how your benefits apply? Look no further than Melissa! She’ll work to answer your questions, while helping you from evaluation to treatment. |
