At Southern Illinois Vein Center, we specialize in treating disorders of the veins such as spider and varicose veins. We use the latest technology to ensure that you get the best results with minimal discomfort.

In the past, treatment of many vein disorders such as spider veins and varicose veins required a surgical procedure called vein stripping - actual removal of the vein. This procedure, usually given under a general anesthetic, was quite painful and often required the patient to stay off their feet for several weeks. At Southern Illinois Vein Center, we take a different approach. By using ultrasound to "see" the veins under the skin, the veins can be treated without surgically removing (stripping) the vein out of the leg.
